About this wine:
Not everyone would understand, but for those who do there is a certain warm, “we’re all okay” kind of comfort in knowing that as long as everyone has purple teeth, it’s actually just part of the fun. The La Presa Petite Sirah has long held a top spot among the most concentrated, opulent and hedonistic teeth staining wines available. And we’re happy to finally be able to share the 2004 vintage of this wine after nearly two years in French and American oak, and nearly another year of bottle age. Petite Sirah in general has always held a special place for us at Consilience, and this vintage from La Presa is particularly characteristic in showing the deep, dark berry, plum, cedar and smoky flavors that make you feel like it’s all been worth it. Oh yeah, and the petite girl who stepped down out of the cab of that big Super Duty crew cab…she loves purple teeth.
